Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before electing to use Smart Luxe Co- Hire. By Hiring any product from this site, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to Smart Luxe Co - Designer Handbag Hire Terms of the agreement, then you may not use the service.


 If you are under 18 years of age, we require that you inform a parent or guardian about Smart Luxe Co. Hire’s Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions as well as requiring their consent to the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions before registering or placing an order with www.smartluxeco.com.au.


  • You are authorised to use the debit or credit card you provide with your Order. 
  • You warrant that any information you give to us in the course of registering your Account is accurate, honest, correct and up-to-date.
  • The Products are and will at all times be and remain our property. You will not have or accrue any right, title or interest in the Products under these terms.
  • If you accidentally stain, spill or colour the luxury item Contact Smart Luxe co straight away, please don't attempt to clean the item yourself in any way, we have specialist for this. It can and will damage the item more if you attempt to clean the item yourself, best to leave it to the professionals.
  • If an item is damaged and is not covered by minor repairs as mentioned above, or insurance, you will be liable for the cost of restoring or replacing the Handbag. In the case the Handbag cannot be restored to a suitable condition, the fee charged may be up to, but not more than, 100% of the original RRP of the Handbag. This fee will be on top of any amount already paid for rental or postage, and the item will still need to be returned to the rental partner, regardless of the amount of damage.
  • If you've lost or not returned an item, you will be liable for up to 150% of the RRP of the item. The items available for rent on our website are often sold out in all retail stores and no longer available from the designer. This has led to some people renting an item and not returning it, or saying it is lost, so that they are able to obtain something they want to keep. This, along with loss of earnings from potential future rentals, is why there is a 150% of RRP fee for lost and unreturned items.

  • Make no alterations or additions to the Handbag or in any other manner or interfere with the Product.

Hire period

  1. We will provide to you, and you accept from us, the hire of the Products subject to these terms, for the hire period selected by you and confirmed in your Order confirmation email.
  2. All our Products are subject to a minimum Hire Period of 4 days and a maximum Hire Period of 7 days (unless otherwise agreed via email). 
  3. The Hire Period you select when submitting your Order is ‘inclusive’, meaning the day you receive the Product and the day you return the Product are included in calculating the total Hire Period. 
  4. The Handbag is for your use only. It must stay in their own possession and control for the entire hire period.
  5. If product is not returned on time, customer is to contact the company as soon as possible. If you do not contact there is a late fee of $50 per day.

Payment

  1. All prices on our Website are:
    1. per unit - 4 day, or 7 days 
    2. in Australian Dollars; and
    3. (Payment obligations) You must pay for all Products at the time of placing an Order.

Delivery of Our handbag/ Identification

  1. At the time of placing an Order you will be required to provide a copy of your Australian driver’s licence or other acceptable photo identification (ID) which confirms your address and that you are of legal age.
  2. You acknowledge and agree that we will only ship your Order to the address stated on your ID
  3. If you do not provide a copy of your ID at the time of placing your Order, we will contact you after you have placed your Order requesting a copy of your ID. 
  4. You acknowledge and agree that we will not ship your Order until you provide us with a copy of your ID and we are satisfied with the address provided.  

Cancellations/ Refunds

  • No refunds - (only store credit )- but would require to unBook 2 weeks in advance (14 days) or contact company. In the unlikely event you want to cancel your booking, please email info@smartluxeco.com.au  we can offer you an alternative date should this be available or store credit valid for 12 months from the time of original booking. Please note, if your order has been shipped we are unable to cancel your booking or order.
  • payment terms: payment of rental will be paid in full AT TIME of booking (not at the date of booking, but the time when you book the specific product.)

Cancellations made by Smart Luxe Co

  • Smart Luxe co. may cancel your booking, for any reason. The compensation to you will be limited to the amount you paid to Smart Luxe Co. for your booking. 
  • Smart Luxe Co. will not be responsible for any consequential damages that result from cancellation of the booking.
  • Smart Luxe Co. may cancel your booking for the below reasons, but are not limited to:

  1. The item is damaged by a customer that has rented the item prior to you.
  2. The item is lost or stolen by a customer that rented the item prior to you.
  3.  It is deemed that it is not possible to deliver the item to you in time for your booking, due to previous late return by a customer, or for any other reason, such as postage network delays (particularly during holiday periods) In all cases above, you will be entitled to a full refund. 

Shipping & Delivery (WE ONLY SHIP WITHIN New South Whales, Victoria, and Queensland, AUSTRALIA)

All products will be delivered vis express post with return express postage satchel. 

Pick-up option available within Newcastle, NSW area only - see below for details. 

  • Your order will be shipped at least 2 days prior to your Hire start date to ensure it arrives in time unless communicated with the customer.
  • Smart Luxe Co's only delivery method is Express Delivery Service, operated by Australia Post (see Australia Post's Terms and Conditions). If the User’s location is outside of the Express Post network, it will take more than the expected timeframe suggested on business day and Smart Luxe Co has no control over this. 
  • Accepting Orders: Orders are sent with signature on arrival requirement, if you are not available at the delivery address to sign for your package, your order is taken to an Australia Post office.
  • Handbags will be in a dustbag inside a mailing box and will require to return in Given dustbag and mailing box with return express postage satchel.
  • Customer is to make sure the return postage comes with handbag, they will have within 4 HOURS OF RECEIVING THEIR HIRE BAG to notify via email if it did not come with one, if failure to check and notify within 4 hours customer is responsible to pay for EXPRESS POSTAGE to return. (Must return handbags at post office)
  • Product is to be posted on last day of hire.
  • The last day of your hire period is the return date, the return is subject to a 5 pm cut-off
  • If the day lands on a Sunday or public holiday the product must be returned/posted the following business day ( by 12pm). THE CUSTOMER IS REQUIRED TO BRING TO A POST OFFICE NOT A P.O BOX.
  • CUSTOMER IS TO KEEP POST RECEIPT UNTIL PACKAGE HAS BEEN RETURNED.
  • If an item is lost by Australia Post, then there will be no fees charged to you. This is why it is important that you return the item by posting it over the counter at an Australia Post office or depot. *Customer must keep copy of receipt once returned

PRIVACY POLICY

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM YOU AND WHY:

Smart Luxe Co Hire collects personal information in several ways when you place an order, buy a gift voucher or register for a service offered by Smart Luxe Co Handbag Hire. By registering, you are consenting to the collection of your personal data. If an order is placed with us, we need to hold personal information including your name, email address, phone numbers, home/shipping address, as well as Photo Identification so that we can process and fulfil your order.


Saved card details will never be shared with third parties and will only be used to process your order. Additionally we may also obtain information as a result of authentication or identity checks. We may ask for your mobile number. This number may be put on the front of your parcel. These details allow us to process your order and to let you know the status of your order.
